This popular glass fibre skiff has an attractive clinker appearance and is fitted out with varnished timber gunwales and rowing thwart. The plywood seat-back and floorboards are finished in good quality varnish.
The craft is built for hard use under hire conditions and has been supplied by us for many years to numerous corporations and boating stations across the country.
Heavy-duty galvanised rowlocks are fitted as standard and the bow and stern seats house two built-in foam buoyancy tanks. An adjustable stretcher bar is fitted to the floor to assist the rowing. A varnished plywood rudder complete with lines and necessary metal fixings can be supplied at extra cost and the cushion is an optional extra. A transom can also be fitted enabling an outboard to be fitted.
The skiff is complete with one pair of flat-blade sculls and standard colours are white, Oxford blue and dark green.

This attractive punt is built from glass fibre. It is built for hard use and has been supplied by us to many boat hire stations, but is equally suitable for private use.
This heavy-duty works craft is ideal for performing maintenance work on rivers and reservoirs, as well as being perfect for fishing. The sturdy punt is built almost entirely from glass fibre except the varnished timber detachable thwart and removable floorboards.
Two built-in buoyancy tanks are fixed to each swim forward and aft, forming seats or steps, whilst also adding considerable strength. There are longitudinal buoyancy angle section tanks moulded to each side and to the bottom giving extra strength along the chine. Metal rings for mooring lines are fixed to the short platforms each end heavy-duty galvanised rowlocks are fitted as standard.
Good protection is provided with the PVC fender fixed around the sides and huffs, forward and aft. A metal outboard motor bracket complete with necessary bolts can be supplied to fix to the stern huff at extra cost. Recommended outboard units are 1.5hp to 4.5hp (shaft length standard)

The Salters Steamers Ltd Buoyant Apparatus are approved by the British Department of Trade for use on all classes of vessels where this type of safety equipment is specified. They can be used on home trade and foreign ships, including passenger craft, ferries, fishing vessels, trawlers, tugs and pleasure boats.
Only the best quality materials are used in the manufacture of these apparatus with each unit conveniently moulded to stack in tiers on the boat deck, ready for immediate use. A strong grabline is fastened completely around the units, and a point is provided for the attachment of a painter at one end (of an approved length in accordance with the statutory requirements). The glass fibre casing of the apparatus is foam filled and is extremely strong and durable, needing the minimum of maintenance.
The Buoyant Apparatus are available in two sizes, suitable for 14 or 20 persons, with the approximate dimensions detailed below (standard colour is orange):
