Experience Oxford from the Water with Self-Drive Rowing
There's something profoundly satisfying about propelling yourself along the Thames using nothing but oars and your own effort. Since 1858, Salter's Steamers has been helping people discover the magic of Oxford's waterways, and our rowing boats offer perhaps the most intimate way to experience this historic river.
Unlike our scheduled cruises, rowing gives you absolute freedom. Stop where you fancy. Linger beside a particularly beautiful stretch of riverbank. Pull up at a riverside pub. The Thames becomes entirely yours to explore, limited only by your chosen duration and your sense of adventure.
